Meeting on old Copley building delayed again
Raguhveer Nayak thinks his proposed surgical center would fill a void. If English isn't your native language or you carry a diverse cultural background -- and that has kept you from getting care -- the Aurora Surgical Center at the old Copley hospital site would help you. An Illinois health planning board was supposed to consider the proposal this week, but the meeting was canceled.

'A man in sand'
In his most recent blog posts, Steve Panella shows a series of self-portraits in which his eyes were closed. His head is illuminated and his face looks peacefully at rest. The images are eerily foreboding, and they are his last. The 34-year-old artist died Nov. 29 from multiple, self-inflicted stab wounds.

Wheaton retirees are the oldest on 'Biggest Loser'
When Estella and Jerry Hayes, both 63, retired from their respective careers as nurse and engineer in 2000 and moved back to Wheaton from California to be close to their children and grandchildren, they didn't envision spending their golden years severely overweight and out of breath. Yet Jerry has had myriad health problems related to his weight of 369 pounds and Estella, who weighs 242, has found herself short of breath just climbing the stairs.
